Cornerstone Services of Ganister Station
Cornerstone Services of Ganister Station offers behavior supports to individuals in the ID/D system over the age of 21 in all environments, including home, community, day program, and residential facilities. There are currently three behavior specialists in the agency with a range of special skills and talents to best support individuals with complex needs and dual diagnoses.
Behavior specialist services include, but are not limited to: completion of a functional behavioral analysis, development of a behavior support plan, training offered to all supports—paid and natural—on the plan, attendance at psychiatric appointments and counseling as needed. Behavior specialists also conduct data analysis to monitor both behavioral health and mental health symptoms that will then be reported to all team members and related professionals. Additionally, the behavior specialist will meet with the individual and their staff on a regular basis to facilitate and model appropriate behavioral interventions.
The ultimate goal of behavior support is to reduce the frequency, intensity, and duration of problem behaviors so that the individual is able to live an every day life. At Cornerstone, it is our utmost priority to treat each individual with respect and dignity, advocate for the individual’s rights, and to build a positive rapport that will have successful results.
